STATIONS OF THE CROSS AT ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA CATHOLIC CHURCH GIDAN BALA

Today been Friday 21st day of Lent. The lay faithful of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Gidan Bala, gathered in large numbers to partake in the Stations of the Cross devotion.
The devotion exercise began with an opening prayer led by Catechist Suleiman Mani at exactly 4:00PM.
As usual, the faithful moved from one station to another accordingly, meditating on the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on His journey to Calvary. Hymns were sung at the end of each station.
During the devotion, the faithful were, reminded of the importance of sacrifice, repentance, and prayer during the Lenten season as they meditated on Christ’s passion.
And also Catechist Suleiman Mani reminds the lay faithful, sign of the cross is only done At the beginning and end of the devotion.
The Stations of the Cross concluded with a closing prayer and a final blessing imparted by Rev. Fr. Samaila Peter Chibi. Parish Priest.
