The Catholic Diocese of Katsina has successfully concluded its Catholic Women Organization (CWO) Maiden Diocesan Convention at St. Martins de Porres Cathedral, marking a historic milestone in the life of the Diocese. The three‑day gathering brought together clergy and women from across parishes in prayer, fellowship, and dialogue aimed at strengthening unity and deepening faith.
A major highlight of the convention was the courtesy visit by CWO officials to the Bishop. During the visit, the women reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Church’s mission in evangelization, family life, and community service. The Bishop warmly welcomed them, commending their dedication and urging them to remain steadfast in their apostolic responsibilities.

The closing Mass, presided over by the Bishop, drew inspiration from the Gospel of Luke 20:27–40. In his homily, he emphasized the message: “He is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all are alive.” He reminded the women that Christian hope rests on the promise of eternal life, encouraging them to live courageously and faithfully in the presence of the living God.
The convention is being hailed as a milestone, fostering spiritual renewal, unity among parishes, and a renewed commitment to Catholic identity.
