The Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON), Catholic Diocese of Katsina, has officially opened registration for the Diocesan Youth Day (DYD) 2026, calling on young Catholics across the Diocese to register and participate actively in the forthcoming diocesan youth gathering.

The registration announcement, released ahead of the event, carries the theme “Take Courage; I Have Overcome the World” from John 16:33, encouraging young people to approach the gathering with faith, courage, and renewed commitment to their Christian vocation.

Registration Fee and Package

Registration for DYD 2026 is set at ₦10,000 per participant. The registration package includes an official T Shirt and souvenirs for participants.

Young people across the Diocese have been encouraged to complete their registration before the deadline to ensure adequate preparation for the event.

Registration Deadline

The registration exercise will close on 20 October 2026. Participants are encouraged not to wait until the final days before registering.

Registration can be completed by scanning the QR code provided on the official DYD 2026 flier, where participants can access the registration platform and other relevant event information.

CYON Calls for Active Parish Participation

The Diocese has also called on CYON members to encourage one another to register and participate in the gathering. Parish communities have been urged to mobilise their members and demonstrate strong representation at DYD 2026.

The event is expected to provide an opportunity for young Catholics from across the Diocese to gather in faith, strengthen fellowship, deepen their relationship with Christ, and participate in activities aimed at fostering youth formation and active involvement in the life of the Church.
